At a Mastermind event with Dean Graziosi, I was told to “duplicate myself” before starting new ventures. I nodded… then ignored it.

And sure enough—I burned out trying to scale three businesses at once. Some looked successful on paper. But inside? I was scattered, stretched, and stuck.

how it started

As a former B2B sales consultant and NLP expert, I lived through a point of high drama, emotion, and impact that would change my life forever. It was March of 2020, my 34th birthday, and I got let go from my job after finding out my wife and I were pregnant with our first child. It was a moment of pure shock - a moment where I realized I had to create something out of virtually nothing.

At that moment, COVID was starting to take shape and my boss was panicking, as customers were canceling contracts left and right. I had expressed concern for our future but promised to fight for the company. Yet, despite my dedication, I was laid off. As I walked upstairs and shared the news with my wife, I felt like everything was crashing down. We were scared, stressed, and uncertain about what the future would hold.

It was then that my wife reminded of what one of my Marine Corps Drill Instructors always said to give us perspective … "we weren't getting shot at." As much as this situation felt like the end of the world, some things are far worse than losing your job. It was a turning point for me - the moment where I knew I had to make something of myself and create a future that would give my family the stability they needed.

And that's precisely what I did. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, I worked my butt off, networking like crazy, and filling paid challenges each month to cover our expenses. I realized that while the world may have been shutting down, there was still a ton of potential out there. The more I worked, the more I realized that my true calling was to help other B2B Sales Consultants and NLP Experts to do the same.

As a result, I launched Mind Vault - a place where I could share my knowledge and expertise with others. It wasn't always easy, but it was always worth it. And now, looking back, I can see how that moment of adversity was precisely what I needed to find my true purpose.

The lesson for all B2B Sales Consultants and NLP Experts is this - sometimes, life has a funny way of kicking you in the teeth. But it's what you do when faced with adversity that matters most. It's essential to stay positive, fight for what you believe in, and never stop pushing forward. It may not be easy, but it's always worth it.

how its going

I'll never forget the day my daughter was born, it was an emotional and unforgettable day for my family. Emma was our first child, and she was a true blessing after the struggles we'd faced with a miscarriage. I was thrilled about my career opportunities, but stability was crucial to our family's wellbeing.

At the time, my business was just kicking off, and I knew that I needed to turn back to the corporate world to provide stability. I took a job with Membrain.com, a CRM platform out of Sweden for complex B2B sales, while continuing coaching with Mastermind.com.

I realized that to grow in my career, I needed to continue developing my NLP skills. Working on the training team with Dr. Bandler and the Society of NLP was truly an impactful experience for me.

After a year of selling in my corporate role, I received a big promotion, which propelled me to Head of Partner Success. However, there was still a calling within me to be all-in on my own business. When the Head of Coaching from Mastermind.com reached out asking me to join their team full time, it was a turning point in my career.

I knew it was time to make a decision that would impact the future of my career and family. It was time to either go all in on Mind Vault or shut it down and embrace my corporate role.

I decided to go all in on Mind Vault and looked for ways to increase my impact and help more B2B Sales Consultants and NLP Experts to get their message out and grow their business.

I joined the Clickfunnels Funnel Builder Certification Program. Which lead to Mandy joining Mind Vault to round out our web, graphic, and funnel design capabilities, since her background is in branding and web design! I then went on to join Dean Graziosi and Brendon Burchard's Legacy Mastermind, one of the top marketing masterminds in the world.

The result of my decision to go all in on Mind Vault has been transformational for both my family and my career. The lesson I've gained from my experience is clear: Decide, Act, and Iterate.

Iteration is our greatest gift. Violence of Action is key to success.

Learn as much as you can, but ACT on what you learn ASAP. Adapt and Overcome.

NEVER stop learning and adding to your toolkit. Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast.

Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.
